about

Giovanni Lami is a sound artist based in Ravenna, Italy and born in 1978. Presently working in the field of sound, his influence as a photographer lends itself perfectly to composing his sonic explorations. The infinite universe of sound is as wide as the visual possibilities available using images, working on field recordings and real time signals processing (analog or digital). His research is related today with the study of resonant surfaces in the field and the limit/interferences of each device used to record or reproduce a sound.

"in chiaro / in guardia" is his first release on Sounds Against Humanity, after publishing music with many great labels such as Dinzu Artefacts, Soft Error and Czaszka Records. This C22 cassette goes between musique concrète, raw field recordings and drone music.
