"Phantoms" is a re-adaptment of the album "Letters", released in 2008 via October Man Recordings. Ten years later, sound artist and electronic musician James A. McDermid decides to revive old memories by re-releasing this album through Sounds Against Humanity.
Here's how the artist describes this super immersive and emotional piece of work:
"My life was very different to how it is now. When I listen to this music now, I really a sense that the ghosts of the past are ingrained in the DNA of these tracks - lovers have come and gone; my younger sister and stepfather have since passed away - where they have now taken on very different meanings compared to when they were first conceived just 10 years before. The album is about memories now; memories that haunt me like phantoms".
